Simple Fundraising Ideas
Raise $500 in 10 Days

Sometimes you just need a strategy to implement your simple fundraising ideas. Well, you’ve stumbled on a great one. If you need to raise money to participate in a cause related event like a walk, or bike ride, or for your organization this strategy will get you ready for success and on the way to meeting your goal.

How it works

One of the best free fundraising ideas is to make your requests personal. Either in person, by letter or email YOU need to ASK for the donation. But, how do you start? Below is one suggested way to tackle this challenge:

DayActionTotal
OnePut in your own $25$25
TwoAsk your doctor and dentist for $50 each$125
ThreeAsk four family members to donate $25 each$225
FourAsk three friends to donate $25 each$300
FiveAsk your boss to donate $25$325
SixAsk two local businesses to donate $25 each$375
SevenAsk three neighbors to donate $15 each$420
EightAsk two co-workers to donate $10 each$440
NineAsk three people from church to donate $10 each$470
TenAsk three senior citizens to donate $10 each$500

**Of course each person will have different categories for this chart but you get the idea.

Develop an approach for this free fundraising idea by grouping the requests by category. In other words, develop your story (why you are asking for support and why it is important for you) get all of the facts in order and determine your solicitation (or asking) approach.

Asking in person is always the best method with the highest likelihood for success. The next best strategies (in descending order) are personal solicitation by phone, sending a individual letter or email. Remember that “people give to people” so personalizing your ask is very important. Simple fundraising ideas like these along with your passion for what you are raising money for will equal your success.
